Grade 8 Non-LDCSB Student Registration

 
Non-LDCSB Grade 8 Students
 

Register your child for MTS through the online registration process from January 7, 2025 to February 28, 2025. 

Registrations submitted after the February 28, 2025 deadline may not be accepted based on capacity and course availability. 

To register, follow the steps below: 

  1. Find your school (confirm eligibility based on address/program)  click here 
  2. Complete the online registration click here. The registration must include the following uploaded documents: 
    1. Grade 7 final report card and Grade 8 progress report
    2. Consent form SE5 (both sides completed) SE5
    3. Most recent IEP (if student is on an Individual Education Plan). If your student has an IEP (Individual Education Plan that sets out special education instruction, supports and services) it is imperative that you include it upon registration. We also ask that you email our Learning Services Department Head, Jillian Strybosch ([email protected]) directly to plan for your student's successful transition of Special Education supports. 
  3. Complete the online form to choose Grade 9 courses click here.
 
Your registration will be complete after all forms have been submitted. Due to the high volume of registrations, confirmation emails may take 6-8 weeks to be sent to families. Do not call the MTS Guidance Department to check on the status of your registration.

French Immersion Assessments are required for students who are coming from a Grade 8 English Language School. Students who have a background in French Immersion or French First Language of 3,800 hours or equivalent and are currently attending an English Language school for grade 8 may be eligible to write a French Immersion assessment with the possibility of enrolling in French Immersion at MTS. Contact the MTS Guidance Department for more details and to register for the French Immersion assessment, which will be held on February 25th at 9:30 am.
 
Summer School: Non-LDCSB students who are registering for an LDCSB school for September 2025 can take an online LDCSB summer school course. Registration for summer school must be completed by the family through the LDCSB summer school website:click here
 
Student Activity Fee is due in September 2025 using School Cash Online.
