Grade 12 Guidance Information

Graduation Fees

All graduating students must pay the Graduation Fee on School Cash Online

Graduates must pay an additional Graduation fee to help offset the costs of the various extra activities, events, and organizational costs of supporting our graduates and for our Graduation Ceremony. In recognition of those families who may already have a stole and gown from a Mother Teresa Alumni, we have 2 options for grad fees. 

1. Full Gown Package $100

The Full Gown Package helps cover the costs of:

- Grad Photo sitting fees;
- Souvenir package gown, stole, cap and year tassel;
  - Shipping;
- Event venue rental;
  - Floral and decorating;
- Portfolio;
  - Composite of Graduating class;
  - Printing;
- 2 Guest Tickets to the Graduation Ceremony;
- Grad Day Activities;
  - Mother Teresa Medallions;
  - Spirituality Award;
  - Hospitality;
  - Guest speaker

Grad Tickets Information

2 tickets are given to each Graduate. ALL family members must have a ticket, space is limited.

Graduation tickets will be distributed with the gown packages during exam week. All graduates receive 2 tickets. Due to a limited capacity, there are a limited number of extra tickets available and as such, graduating students will have the opportunity to secure one extra ticket. Please do not request more than one extra ticket. Requests for an extra ticket will be available from June 9 – 12 and will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis. Details regarding the process to request an extra ticket will be provided through school announcements, school messenger and the Mother Teresa Website as we get closer to June.

2026 Graduation Valedictorian Nomination

We are inviting those who would like to be considered for the June 2026 Valedictorian to complete this form. The Valedictorian will have:

no suspension record
above 80% average in their Grade 11 and 12 classes
been a positive contributing member of the school community while at MTS.

When all the names have been received, a committee will review the applications and contact those who will be presented to the graduating class on the Valedictorian ballot.

Nominations will close on May 1st.

Voting for the valedictorian will take place on May 12th and 13th in Grade 12 homerooms through QR codes.

Grad School Messenger: June 2

Good day all.

It’s June, the sun is out longer, the days are warmer and Graduation will be here before we know it. As we are getting closer to Graduation and Grad Day, it is a good time to review some dates, timelines and processes about these two events and a couple of other items specific to our Grade 12’s leaving MTS this year. There is a significant amount of information in this update and I encourage you to read all of it and review it with your child who is graduating.

Grad Day

held on Tuesday June 9, 2026
students are requested to dress in semi-formal wear. No blue jeans or sweats will be permitted.
if students choose not to dress in semi formal wear, they are to be in proper school uniform.
the day will include a Grad Day Liturgy, Guest Speaker, class photo and a catered lunch
we will have an altered schedule to help facilitate the day

Graduation Packages (Gowns, Caps, stoles and tickets)

Graduation gown/packages will be available to pick up during exam week in room 169 during the following times:

Friday June 19: 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
Monday June 22: 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
Tuesday June 23: 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
Wednesday June 24: 9:00 am – 10:30 am (Grad Day)

Each student must personally be present to sign for and pick up their Graduation Package.

No one other than the Graduating Student will be permitted to pick up the Graduation Package. This includes parents, siblings or friends. If a student is able to secure third ticket for the Graduation Ceremony, that ticket will also be picked up when the student picks up their Graduation Package.

Extra Graduation Ceremony Tickets

Due to the seating capacity of Centennial Hall and the large number of Graduating Students, we are able to provide only 1 extra ticket to some of our graduating students.

While we certainly respect and understand the desire to have tickets for immediate and extended family members and friends, we are unable to accommodate more than 1 extra ticket. We hope you can understand and respect this. Students will be able to request one (1) extra ticket only, beginning Tuesday June 9 at 8:00 am. Requests will cease being available at 2:30 pm on Friday June 12. Requests for extra tickets will be made by the students via an MS Form which can be accessed by QR Code which will be on the Grade 12 VLE. Tickets will be distributed on a first come – first served basis using the time stamp on the MS Form.

Graduation Rehearsal

All graduating students (those who will be receiving their Ontario Secondary School Graduation Diploma, OSSGD)

are asked to be at Centennial Hall on June 24 at 11:30am.

This is a crucial component of the Graduation Ceremony as all Graduating Students must know their responsibilities

before, during and after the ceremony.

Please make every effort to be there at 11:30 am.

The rehearsal is expected to end at approximately 12:30 pm.

Please note that students should not wear their Gown and cap for the rehearsal.

Graduation

Will take place on Wednesday June 24, 2026, at 6:45 pm at Centennial Hall, 550 Wellington St. London, On.

All graduates are asked to be at Centennial Hall at 5:45 pm.

Doors will be open to ticket holders at 5:45 pm.

Only students who will be receiving their Graduation Diploma or Certificate will be participating in the Graduation Ceremony.

MTS Graduation will be live streamed.

Uniform Exchange

Used uniforms support many new and current families in our community.

Our Parent Council has a used uniform sale on the Grade 9 Orientation Day at the beginning of the school year.

The funds raised at this event are used to support programs and students of MTS.

As in the past, Graduating students can, if they choose to, donate their uniforms to the school in exchange for their ability to be out of

uniform in the days following.

On Tuesday June 16 and Wednesday June 17, Grade 12 graduating students can bring their uniforms to the cafeteria during period

three lunch, where they can exchange them for a wristband.

Students who are wearing the wristband will be permitted to be out of uniform from that day through to the end

of the exam period.

Thank you for your attention to this. While we recognize that Graduation is a significant milestone in a student’s life, we also know it is a proud moment for the student’s family. We hope that by following our protocols and processes, we can help make this a special event for everyone.
